Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers. This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and a Microsoft Access project (.adp). SYMPTOMSYou may notice one or more of the following behaviors with the name of a data access page: The name of a page in the Database window may be different from what you typed in the Save As dialog box.
CAUSEThe first time that you save a page, the file name that you supply is for the HTML file. Microsoft Access then uses the name of the HTML file to create the name of the shortcut to this HTML file that will appear in the Database window. If any character is not valid for the name of a page shortcut in Access, that character is automatically changed to an underscore (_). RESOLUTION
To avoid this behavior, only use names that contain valid characters for Access objects. MORE INFORMATIONSteps to Reproduce Behavior
