ACC2000: Default Width in Report Design Does Not Reflect Margins

ID: Q209774

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Access 2000

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

SYMPTOMS

The default grid area is independent of how a report or form is printed. The controls that you place in the document determine the size.

In the United States, the default width of the grid area is set to 5 inches, regardless of the print settings (paper size, orientation, and margins). There is no relationship between the default grid area size and the default paper size or print area.

REFERENCES

For more information about how to change the default layout for forms or reports, click Microsoft Access Help on the Help menu, type "templates, forms, and reports" in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics returned.
