SYMPTOMSIn the versions of Microsoft Query listed at the beginning of this article, when you save a query result to a text data source, you may receive one of the following error messages. The error message you receive depends on the version of the Text ODBC driver you are using. You may also receive the following error message:
CAUSEText data sources do not support the use of indexes. Therefore, when you attempt to create an index for a text data source, Microsoft Query displays the error messages described above. RESOLUTIONTo avoid receiving these errors, turn the Save Indexes option off in the Save As dialog box. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATION
Even if you receive the error messages stated above, Microsoft Query
continues to save the query result to the specified text file. However, no
