SYMPTOMSWhen you edit an embedded Microsoft Excel 5.0 chart in an OLE 2.0 client application, such as Microsoft Word for Windows version 6.0, or Microsoft Powerpoint for Windows version 4.0, one or more of the following symptoms may occur: Symptom 1The OLE 2.0 object changes size.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows. Symptom 2Cell gridlines are displayed when you finish editing your chart.This behavior is by design. Copying a chart will embed all worksheet information including the row and column formatting. WORKAROUND
To embed a chart object in another application without displaying the cells
of a worksheet below an embedded chart, do either one of the following:
