SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Query, using an SQL statement to create a query may cause problems when you attempt to sort the data. If you use the Microsoft Query sort buttons (A-Z or Z-A) or choose Sort from the Records menu, the selected column may not be sorted if it was defined with an ORDER BY statement in the SQL statement. WORKAROUNDBecause this behavior is by design, the only way to sort the records is to perform the sort on a column that is not created by an ORDER BY statement in the SQL statement. STATUSThis sorting behavior is by design of Microsoft Query. Additional query words: 1.00
