SUMMARY
When you install Microsoft Excel, the [Microsoft Query] section of the
Msquery.ini file, which is located in the Microsoft Windows folder,
will contain the following MSQuery-specific information (depending on the
choices you make at the time you install the program):
Note that you cannot change the option for automatic query update by editing the .ini file. *Does not apply to returning data to Excel with XLQUERY.XLA. The connection is always closed if you return data to Excel with XLQUERY.XLA, even though MS Query is still running." The section of the .ini file following the [Microsoft Query] section will contain a list of all installed data sources. An example of this section is shown below. [Data Sources] NWind= FoxPro Files= Paradox Files= dBASE Files= MORE INFORMATION
Other data sources may add additional driver-specific sections to the
Msquery.ini file. For more information about the information that will
appear for a specific driver, see the documentation for that driver.
