The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, when you use the Regression tool, and you select the Labels check box, you receive a general protection (GP) fault when the summary output table is created. If you choose Ignore, you receive a GP fault in module ANALYSIS.XLL when the chart is created. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0. CAUSEThis problem occurs when the first row of your input data contains numeric values, and you select the Labels check box in the Regression dialog box. WORKAROUND
To avoid receiving the GP fault when you use the Regression tool, do either

The Regression tool is available when you load either the Analysis ToolPak
- Visual Basic for Applications add-in (ATPVBAEN.XLA) or the Microsoft
Excel version 4.0 Analysis ToolPak add-in (ANALYSIS.XLL). When the add-in
