SYMPTOMSIn the versions of Microsoft Excel listed at the beginning of this article, if you open a Microsoft Excel 4.0 file that contains an embedded chart, the chart may not show the correct number of categories and the series formulas may be incorrect. If you then reopen the chart in Microsoft Excel 4.0, the chart is displayed correctly. CAUSEYou may experience these symptoms if the chart was created on a worksheet for which the calculation was set to manual and the chart was saved after you added data to the range of cells from which the chart was created.
