SYMPTOMSIf you use a header or footer for a worksheet that contains an embedded chart, the name of the chart in the header or footer may not correspond to the name of the chart. CAUSEMicrosoft Excel uses the original name of the embedded chart in headers and footers. For example, if you create an embedded chart in Sheet1 of a new workbook, the name of the chart is Chart 1. This is the name used in headers and footers. RESOLUTION
To rename charts so that the header or footer for the chart is updated, use
a chart sheet instead of an embedded chart. When you rename the tab on a
chart sheet, the name used in a header or footer is automatically updated.
