SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if a worksheet cell containing a comment is located above a frozen pane, the comment may appear partially obscured or truncated at the border of the frozen pane. CAUSEComments in Excel 98 are on sheet objects, and behave like other objects on the worksheet when you scroll the document. In the frozen pane, Excel only displays the portion of the comment that would normally appear in that part of the worksheet if the pane were not frozen. WORKAROUNDTo prevent this behavior, click Unfreeze Panes on the Window menu, or select a row underneath the comment before clicking the Freeze Panes command. STATUSThis behavior is by design of Excel 98.
