SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if you open a workbook that
contains a data map, the data map is imported as a picture and appears in
black and white.
CAUSEThese problems occur because Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition does not include support for data maps. In Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0, and Microsoft Excel 97 for
Windows, you can create a data map in a worksheet by following these steps:
If you open a workbook that contains a data map in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the following dialog box appears: Graphics FilterWhen the workbook opens, the map appears as a black and white picture. If you select the picture, the formula bar contains a formula similar to the following:
If you save the workbook in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition and then
reopen the workbook in Microsoft Excel for Windows, the data map appears in
color and opens for editing when you double-click it.
