SYMPTOMSWhen you open a Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3 format file in Microsoft Excel 98, the fill color of a range of cells may be changed to black. If you open the file in Lotus 1-2-3, the cells are no longer formatted with a fill color. CAUSE
The problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

MORE INFORMATIONIf you apply certain colors to a range of cells, and then save the file in the "WK3,FM3(1-2-3)" file format, the colors may be changed to black.
