SYMPTOMSWhen you use Pick From List in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the order in which the data is sorted in the Pick From List box may be different from the sorted data on the worksheet. CAUSEThis problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

MORE INFORMATIONHolding down the CONTROL key and clicking a cell beside a range of values displays a shortcut menu with a Pick From List command. This list allows you to easily choose a possible AutoComplete value by clicking it in the list. These values are sorted in ascending order. ExampleAssume the following data is on a worksheet:A1: DavidWith cell A4 selected, hold down the CONTROL key and click cell A4. A shortcut menu appears. Click Pick From List. A list with possible AutoComplete values appears. Notice that the values are sorted in ascending order. When you click on a name in the list box, it is placed in cell A4.
