SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you plot a chart series along a secondary series axis that uses a different scale than the primary axis, and you remove the secondary axis, the series does not use the scale of the axis that you remove. Instead, Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition plots the series by using the scale of the primary axis. WORKAROUND
To plot a chart series or group with a different scale from the scale that
the primary axis uses without displaying a secondary axis, format the
secondary axis so that it does not appear on the chart. To do this, follow
these steps:

If you plot a chart series or group on a secondary axis, the series or
group uses only the scale of the secondary axis if it is available.
