MORE INFORMATION

Issues to Be Aware of When You Drag the Picture Clipping File

When you drag a movie object from an Office 98 program to the desktop, a picture clipping file is created. You can drag this file back to one of the Office 98 programs or to the MoviePlayer. When you drag the file to an Office 98 program, a movie object is created. However, when you drag the picture clipping file to the MoviePlayer, the frames in the picture clipping file are inserted into the movie at the location that is displayed when you drag the clipping file to the movie.

Issues to Be Aware of When You Drag a Movie to the MoviePlayer

If you drag a movie to the desktop from the MoviePlayer, a movie clipping file is created. You cannot drag a movie clipping file to an Office 98 program. However, you can drag a movie directly from the MoviePlayer to an Office 98 program. When you drag a movie directly from the MoviePlayer to an Office program, the current frame is displayed as a movie object. It is possible to copy more than a single frame from the MoviePlayer to an Office 98 program. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start the MoviePlayer and open the movie file with the frames you want to copy.

  2. Hold down the SHIFT key and drag the Play Bar box to the right so that it is positioned half way through the movie.

Note that when you begin to drag the Play Bar box, a portion of the Play Bar turns black.

  3. Start Microsoft Word 98. Drag the movie from the MoviePlayer to Microsoft Word.

Note that only a portion of the movie is moved into Microsoft Word. The portion of the movie that is moved is the portion for which the Play Bar is black in the MoviePlayer.

NOTE: If you are running Microsoft Office 98 under Mac OS 8.0 or later, a picture clipping file is created when you drag a movie object to the desktop, but you may not be able to drag this file back to the program in which it was created.
