SYMPTOMS
If you select text in a text box in Microsoft PowerPoint and attempt to
drag the text to a cell in a Microsoft Excel, the text may not appear in
the cell.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

To work around this problem and copy the text, drag it from Microsoft
PowerPoint to Microsoft Excel without holding down any keys. You do not
need to use the shortcut menu.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you press COMMAND+OPTION when you perform a drag-and-drop operation, a shortcut menu appears. You can select the action you want to perform from the shortcut menu. However, when you drag text from a text box in a Microsoft PowerPoint slide to a cell in Microsoft Excel, the only command that functions is the Create Hyperlink Here command.
