SYMPTOMSIn the programs listed at the beginning of this article, when you choose a color for an AutoShape, a cell, or any other object that can be colored, none of the Apple color pickers are available. For an example of this behavior, please see the "More Information" section in this article. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Microsoft Office 98 programs use their own "color pickers." STATUSThis behavior is by design in the programs listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONExampleTo use this example, follow these steps:
The Macintosh Operating System (OS) allows you to choose different colors by using several different color pickers. You can find these pickers under Mac OS 8.0 by pointing to Control Panels on the Apple menu, and clicking Appearance. Under System 7.5.x, you can find these pickers by pointing to Control Panels on the Apple menu and clicking Color. Microsoft Office does not use these pickers to select colors. Instead, each Microsoft Office program uses it's own version of a color picker. REFERENCES
