Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition includes "persistent" formatting. This
means that formatting in PivotTables remains intact through pivots and
updates. The formatting is linked to items and fields in the PivotTable
that cause formatting to be removed when data is updated or fields are
pivoted. To bind formatting to a selection of cells, select items using
"structured" selection.
REFERENCESFor more information about formatting PivotTables, click Contents And Index on the Help menu (or on the Balloon Help menu if you are using a version of Mac OS earlier than 8.0), click the Index button in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition Help, type the following text: PivotTables, formattingand then click Show Topics.
