SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you display the New dialog box by clicking New on the File menu, the Preview section displays the following message Select an icon to see a preview.This behavior occurs even though you have selected an icon. CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
-and- WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, select any other icon in the New dialog box, and then select the icon you want to preview again. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
