SYMPTOMSYou may see trailing gaps (spacing), which you did not type, between text characters you typed in a cell. CAUSEThis problem can occur when you apply the Italic font style to one or more characters in a cell in which the characters are formatted with varying font sizes. The gap is not a character and cannot be deleted. The gap appears at the
end of a text fragment that has a different font size than the next text
fragment. To illustrate this behavior, follow these steps:
