The following sample macro assumes you have a sound file named Clear on a hard drive named Macintosh HD. If your hard drive is named differently, substitute the name of your hard drive in the macro.

   Sub PlaySound()
      Application.ExecuteExcel4Macro _
     "SOUND.PLAY(,""Macintosh HD:Clear"")"
   End Sub
Note the use of double quotation marks in this macro. These quotation marks are necessary because the path to the sound file is a string, which is included inside the outer string.
