ID: Q52223

SUMMARY

To print a screen dump of the active window to the ImageWriter using Microsoft Excel version 2.2, 3.0 or 4.0, the status bar and formula bar must be turned off.

To print a copy of the entire screen, it is not necessary to turn off the status bar or scroll bar.

To print only the active window, do the following:

  1. Turn off the status bar and formula bar as follows:

    a. From the Options menu, choose Workspace.

    b. Under Display, deselect the check boxes for Status Bar and Formula Bar.

    c. Choose OK.

  2. With the status bar and formula bar turned off, press COMMAND+SHIFT+4 to send a printout of the active window to the ImageWriter.

To print the entire screen, hold down the CAPS LOCK key while pressing COMMAND+SHIFT+4. This sends the entire screen to the ImageWriter.

MORE INFORMATION

Pressing COMMAND+SHIFT+4 produces a printout of the active window. When it is turned on, the status bar is the active window. The next active window is the formula bar, followed by the worksheet.
