Microsoft Excel will not convert a file's format to Normal when saving
if the file was originally created or saved in a format other than
Excel's Normal format.
For example, if a Lotus 1-2-3 worksheet is opened into Excel and Save
is chosen from the File menu, the file will be saved in Lotus 1-2-3
format (WKS or WK1).
To save the worksheet in Excel's Normal format, do the following:
- From the File menu, choose Save As.
- Click the Options button.
- Select the Normal option and click OK.
- Click the Save button.
