The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYText in Microsoft Excel charts that use the Opaque Background Font option (version 5.0) or the White Out attribute (versions 3.0 and 4.0) may not print correctly to Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet III printers. The text appears correctly on the screen and in print preview; however, the text in the printed output does not have the Opaque background or White Out attribute. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATION
The White Out attribute removes any patterns from behind the selected
text. This is useful in cases where it is difficult to see text over a
specific pattern.
