Excel: Macro Error at ADD.TOOL with ID # 140-199 and >231

SUMMARY

A macro error will result for an ADD.TOOL command if the ID numbers for the custom tools are not in the range of 200-231.

Page 12 of the "Microsoft Excel Function Reference" incorrectly states:


   To specify a custom tool, use a name, or a number greater than
   140. 


It should read:


   To specify a custom tool, use a name, or a number between 200 and
   231. 


MORE INFORMATION

The numbers 140-199 are not defined. The numbers 200-231 are defined as custom toolfaces found in the Custom section of the Toolbar Customize dialog box. These faces can be used or can be overridden by referring to a graphic in the "face" argument for ADD.TOOL.
