SUMMARY
The size of a published edition to which Microsoft Excel can subscribe is
limited by the maximum size of an Excel array. Therefore, Excel cannot
subscribe to editions that contain more than 6,551 cells worth of
information. This is true even if the subscribing area inside Excel is only
a few cells in size.
MORE INFORMATION
Excel allocates memory for an entire publication, even if it will display
only a part of it.
