SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel, when the Transition Navigation Keys (Alternate
Navigation Keys in Microsoft Excel 4.0) check box is selected, you may
experience unexpected behavior when you use certain keys and key
combinations or when you enter text or formulas in cells.
CAUSE
The Transition Navigation Keys (Alternate Navigation Keys in Microsoft
Excel 4.0) option changes the functionality of certain keys and key
combinations; it also changes the way formulas and text are entered in
cells. You may experience unexpected behavior if this option has been
enabled.
WORKAROUND
To return to normal Microsoft Excel functionality, follow the appropriate
procedures below to disable this option.
