Excel: Finding the Date of the First or Last Day of the Week

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, you can use the following formulas to return the date of the first or last day of the week.


MORE INFORMATION

To find the date of the Sunday of the week containing a given date, use the following formula:


   =The_Date-WEEKDAY(The_Date)+1 


You can modify the above formulas to find the date of any preceding or following day of the week by replacing the number 1 in the formula with a number corresponding to the day of the week you wish to find (2 for Monday, 3 for Tuesday, and so on).
