SUMMARY

Page 344 of the "Microsoft Excel Function Reference," version 4.0, states that if the RADIANS() function is not available "you must install the Analysis ToolPak add-in macro." This is a documentation error. The RADIANS() function is included in the Add-in Functions add-in macro.


MORE INFORMATION

In order for RADIANS() to be available for use in Microsoft Excel, the Add-in Functions macro must be open. The name of this macro in Microsoft Excel 4.0 for Windows is ADDINFNS.XLA and is located in the LIBRARY directory of Microsoft Excel. In Microsoft Excel 4.0 for the Macintosh, the name of the macro is Add-in Functions and it is located in the Macro Library folder.

The following steps show how to have ADDINFNS.XLA available automatically by adding it to the list of available Add-ins loaded through the Add-In Manager.

  1. From the Options menu, choose Add-ins...


  2. Select the Add button and choose ADDINFNS.XLA from the Library directory under Excel.


  3. Choose the OK button.


  4. Choose Close.
