SUMMARY
In version 4.0 of Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, the Preferred
Chart Tool does not work properly with nonadjacent selections. Use of
this tool on nonadjacent ranges to create a chart results in
'invisible' series or many extra series referring to ranges that were
not selected.
WorkaroundTo chart data within nonadjacent cells, you may use Microsoft Excel's other methods for creating charts, including highlighting the data and making a new chart and then copying the chart to the worksheet. The data also may be charted as graphic objects using the Chart Wizard or by doing the following:
