SUMMARYThe table on pages 198 to 201 in the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide 2" lists each of the add-in macros with brief descriptions. In addition, asterisks are used to specify whether the particular add-in is loaded with the Macro Library setup option, the Microsoft Excel setup option or if it is listed as a separate setup option. The Slide Show add-in is listed as being installed with the Macro Library. This is true in Excel for the Macintosh. In Excel for Windows, however, the Slide Show is installed with the Microsoft Excel setup option. As a result, the Slide Show add-in should be listed with a single asterisk as are the other add-ins in the same category. MORE INFORMATIONThe add-ins that fall into the category of being installed with the Microsoft Excel option in Excel for Windows while they are installed with the Macro Library in Excel for the Macintosh include the Add-in Manager, Checkup, Report Manager, Scenario Manager and View Manager. In addition to the Slide Show requiring a single asterisk, the differences between the two platforms should also be more clearly noted in the explanation for the single asterisk.
