ID: Q97916

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 4.0, 4.0a
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 4.0

SYMPTOMS

When you print reports in Microsoft Excel, print scaling will revert to a setting of 100-percent (full size) if you are using both the Fit To Pages option in Page Setup and the Continuous Page Numbers option in the Edit Report/Add Report dialog box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do either of the following:

  • Disable the Continuous Page Numbers option:

    1. From the File menu, choose Print Report and choose the Edit button.

    2. In the dialog box, clear the Continuous Page Numbers check box.

If this option is turned off, print scaling will remain at the correct settings. However, your page numbers may not be sequential.

    -or-

  • Use the Reduce/Enlarge Page Setup option instead of the Fit To Pages Page Setup option.

STATUS
