SYMPTOMS
When you publish a web created in Microsoft FrontPage 2000 to a server that
supports FrontPage 97 Server Extensions, the following message appears on
pages that include navigation bars and page banners outside the shared
border region when you open the page in a Web browser:
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you publish a web that has navigation bars or page banners outside the shared border region of a page to a server that supports FrontPage 97 Server Extensions. The component is stripped out of the HTML code and sent as arguments. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, use either of the following methods: Method 1: Upgrade to the FrontPage 2000 Server ExtensionsBecause navigation bars and page banners do not exhibit this problem when you post your content to a Web server on which you have installed the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, upgrade the extensions. You can download the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions from the following Microsoft World Wide Web site:http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/wpp Method 2: Insert the Navigation Bars and Page Banners in a Shared BorderIf you do not want to upgrade to the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, insert the navigation bars and page banners in a shared border region of your Web page.STATUS
