FP2000: Relative URL Changed to Absolute URL in Edit Hyperlink Dialog Box

SYMPTOMS

When you edit a hyperlink in the Edit Hyperlink dialog box in Reports view to be a relative Uniform Resource Locator (URL), the hyperlink becomes an absolute URL when you view the source code of the page.

RESOLUTION

To change the hyperlink from an absolute URL to a relative URL, use the Hyperlink Properties dialog box in Page view (on the View menu). To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the page with the hyperlink you want to change in Page view.



2. Right-click the hyperlink you want to change, and click Hyperlink Properties.



3. In the URL box, type the relative URL of the hyperlink, or click to select the page from the file list, and click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
