FP2000: Setting Default Font Does Not Affect Text in Browser or Preview

ID: Q219203

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

SYMPTOMS

After you set the default font to something other than Times New Roman, the page is displayed in the Times New Roman font in a Web browser, or when you click the Preview tab, rather than the font you specified.

NOTE: To locate the default proportional font and fixed-text font options, point to Page Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Default Font tab.

CAUSE

The font you specify on the Default Font tab is used by FrontPage only, and does not affect how the page will be displayed in a Web browser.

RESOLUTION

To have your page display in a font other than Times New Roman, format the text by following these steps:

  1. Drag the pointer to select the text you want to be displayed in a particular font.

  2. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Font tab.

  3. In the Font list, select the font you want to use, and then click OK.
