FP2000: House Icon Does Not Change After You Rename Default Document on Server

ID: Q219227

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

SYMPTOMS

If you change the default document name on your Web server and press F5 in Navigation view to refresh the view, the house icon that indicates the default document does not change, even though the page is no longer the default document name.

For example, if your default document is Default.htm and you change the Web server to have a default document named Default.html, the house icon for Default.htm does not change when you press F5.

CAUSE

FrontPage does not dynamically detect a change in the default document for the Web server.

RESOLUTION

To allow FrontPage to detect any name change on the Web server, close your FrontPage Web and reopen it. FrontPage will detect the change on the server.
