SYMPTOMSWhen you turn on Lightweight Source Control on a Web that resides on a FAT (file allocation table) partition, you can only open a read-only version of the page, and a lock icon appears next to the page after you check it out. CAUSEFrontPage allows you to turn on Lightweight Source Control on Webs that reside on FAT partitions, even though FAT partitions do not allow for security. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem on Windows NT, use Disk Administrator to convert your FAT partition to NTFS (NTFS file system).
