FP2000: No Scroll Bar When a Table Extends Beyond the Window

ID: Q219764

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you extend a table beyond the right edge of the window on a page with shared borders, there is no scroll bar at the bottom of the window, and you cannot grab the table border to resize it.

CAUSE

When a page has shared borders, the scroll bars of the window are suppressed. When a table is more than 100 percent of the screen width, its right border extends beyond the edge of the window, and you cannot see the right border, nor can you dynamically resize it.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, change the specified width of the table to 100 percent or less. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the table, and click Table Properties.

  2. In the Specify Width box, type any number between 1 and 100.

  3. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
