FP2000: FrontPage Stops Responding When Applying Wrapping Style to Bulleted Item

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a wrapping style to a bulleted item, FrontPage stops responding (hang). If you view the CPU Usage, the percentage is at 100 percent.

This may also cause Windows 95 or Windows 98 to stop responding (hang).


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Workaround

If you need to use a wrapping style on a bulleted item, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the bullet you want to use, and click List Item Properties.


  2. Click Style.


  3. Click Format, and select Position.


  4. Under Positioning Style, click Absolute.


  5. Click OK three times to close the dialog boxes.


  6. Right-click the item again, and click List Item Properties.


  7. Click Style.


  8. Click Format, and select Position.


  9. Select the Wrapping Style you want to use.


  10. You may click None, under positioning style if you want to remove absolute positioning


  11. Click OK three times.
