  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you try to format a table of contents component by applying a different font to it, the text is not displayed in the new font.

RESOLUTION

To apply a font to a table of contents component, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Apply a Theme to Your Web

You can apply a theme to your web and modify the text formatting that the theme uses. When you do this, the table of contents component inherits the font used by the theme. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Format menu, click Theme.

  2. Select the theme that you want to use and click Modify.

  3. Click the Text button.

  4. In the Modify Theme dialog box, follow these steps:

    1. In the item list, select the element whose formatting you want to change.

    2. In the Font list, select the font that you want to use.

    3. Repeat steps a and b for each element that you want to define.

    4. Click OK.

  5. Click Save As. In the New Theme Title box, type the name that you want to use for your theme, and then click OK twice.

Method 2: Format by Using Styles

To format by using styles, follow these steps:
  1. On the Format menu, click Style.

  2. In the Style dialog box, click Modify.

  3. In the Modify Style dialog box, click Format, and then click Font.

  4. Change the settings in the Font dialog box, and then click OK three times
