SYMPTOMS
If the shared border of a Web page contains an Include page and the Web page has shared borders enabled, the Include page will not appear in the shared border region. CAUSEBorder content does not appear on pages where an Include page references itself. If you modify a shared border on this page, the shared border will be changed throughout the entire web. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
Do not make modifications to shared borders on pages that are included in the shared border region. The shared border of this page will not appear where the page is included, so if you make a change, you will overwrite your existing content. Additional query words: front page
