ID: Q229537

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you spell check a page with several misspelled words that are identical and click Change All, not all of the misspelled words are changed. For Example:

missspell missspell missspell missspell

After the first two occurrences of the word, you are prompted with the Spelling dialog box that states the word is repeated.

This is a known issue with the FrontPage 2000 spell checker. FrontPage views the repeated word as an extra word and will prompt you to delete or ignore the repeated word.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

To resolve this issue, use the following method:

  1. After clicking the Change All button, when prompted with the repeated word in the spell checker, click Ignore as many times as possible until the dialog closes.
