FP2000: Spell Checker Does Not Check Spelling Properly For English (British) and English (Canadian)

SYMPTOMS

When you change the language setting on a page in FrontPage to English (British) or English (Canadian), some words that are spelled differently than U.S. English are not marked as misspelled, or detected by the spell checker.


CAUSE

FrontPage uses the English (United States) dictionary, even when English (British) or English (Canadian) are specified.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FrontPage 2000.
