After you create a database connection that has a close parenthesis (such as ")" without quotation marks) in it, the connection verifies. CAUSEIf you use a close parenthesis in a database connection name, the connection is not valid, and will not appear in either dialog box. To work around this issue, avoid parenthesis in your database connection names. It is generally not a good idea to use non-standard characters (characters that are not letters or numbers) to refer to database connections. Additional query words: front page
