FP2000: Word Document Saved in RTF Format Does not Display Headers and Footers in FrontPage

SYMPTOMS

When you save a Microsoft document with headers and footers in Rich Text Format (RTF) and save or import the document into a FrontPage web, the headers and footers are not displayed in Page view.


CAUSE

FrontPage uses the same Rich Text converter as Microsoft Word. The Rich Text converter does support the conversion of headers and footers to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
