MORE INFORMATION

Dynamic HTML is a new Web page object model specification developed by Microsoft and submitted to the World Wide Web Consortium that allows programmers to manipulate Web pages and their elements in exciting and powerful ways.

Since the mission of FrontPage is to create "professional quality Web sites without programming," FrontPage 98 has a range of features that let you take advantage of the benefits of dynamic HTML without having to program the dynamic HTML object model.

These features include:

  • Dynamic Outlining

  • Form Field Extensions

  • Text Animations

  • Page Transitions

These FrontPage 98 features will allow you to:
  • Create expanding and collapsing outlines in your Web pages.

  • Quickly access Web page form fields via the keyboard.

  • Create text animations, such as Fly From Bottom or Fly From Top.

  • Create stunning visual effects through a variety of different page transitions.

Earlier releases of Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 4.0, will not display the FrontPage 98 animations nor provide the ability to utilize the dynamic HTML features listed above. To obtain an update to Internet Explorer, version 4.0, please see the following Microsoft World Wide Web site:
