FP98: How to Disable the "Always Open Last Web" Option

SUMMARY

In Microsoft FrontPage 98, you can choose whether or not you want to open the last Web you had open when you start FrontPage. When you select the "Always open last Web" option in the Getting Started dialog box, FrontPage will automatically open the last Web you were working on the next time you start FrontPage. If you do not select this option, the Getting Started dialog box appears when you start FrontPage. This article describes how to turn off the "Always open last Web" option.

NOTE: The Getting Started dialog box will also appear if you click the Open FrontPage Web button on the toolbar or the Open FrontPage Web command on the File menu.

To turn off the "Always open last Web" option, use either of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. In FrontPage Explorer, click Open FrontPage Web on the File menu.


  2. Click to clear the "Always open last Web" check box.


Method 2

  1. In FrontPage Explorer, click Options on the Tools menu.


  2. Click the General tab.


  3. Click "Show Getting Started dialog."


NOTE: If you deleted the last opened Web and the "Always open last Web" option is selected, FrontPage will open the next Web in the Open an Existing FrontPage Web list in the Getting Started dialog box.
