FP98: Table on Page with Shared Borders Causes Problems

SYMPTOMS

If you insert a table with a table width larger than 100 percent into a page that contains a shared border, you won't be able to view or edit the far right cells of the table. This is true if the table is inserted into the shared border or the main body of the page.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, do either of the following:

  • Always specify the table width to be less than 100 percent.

    -or-


  • Specifiy the width of the table in pixels. This will increase the size of the shared border and will allow you to edit of the full table by enabling the scroll bars in the editor.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
