SYMPTOMSWhen you list Webs on an Internet Information Server (IIS) computer with FrontPage Server Extensions installed, you receive the following error message: The Event Viewer reports the following error: The Web server continues to serve pages and the extensions seem to be working. CAUSEThe FrontPageRoot parameter in the [FrontPage 3.0] section of the Frontpg.ini file points to an old or incorrect location. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, correct the location of the FrontPageRoot parameter. It should look similar to the following:
NOTE: C:\Program Files\Microsoft FrontPage is the default location in
which the FrontPage Root is installed.
MORE INFORMATION
The FrontPageRoot parameter in the FrontPg.ini file gives the FrontPage
Server Extensions the location in which FrontPage (or the Extensions) was
installed, which, in turn, tells FrontPage where to install the Server
Extensions. If this information is incorrect, then the Server Extensions
do not recognize the Web server and the Server Extensions installation
fails.
