SYMPTOMSAfter setting Only Registered Users Have Browse Access on the root Web, authors cannot open sub Webs with valid accounts when they do not have at least Browse access to the root Web. CAUSEWhen you set Only Registered Users Have Browse Access on the root Web, authors that do not have Browse permission on the root Web cannot open sub Webs. The reason for this is that authors of sub Webs need access to FrontPage configuration files in the root Web. WORKAROUNDIn order for authors to open sub Webs that reside below a root Web that is set with Only Registered Users Have Browse Access, add the author of the sub Web with Browse permission to the root Web. To do this, use the following steps:
